Notts started this game with new signing Michael Johnson sitting on the bench.

Charlie had already picked the team before Johnson signed yesterday afternoon.

Notts win an early free kick but the Macclesfield defence clears but when it falls to Weston he wins a corner for the magpies.

Butcher to take the 1st corner of the game but it is punched by keeper but when the ball fell to crow his touch lets him down and the danger is cleared.

Macclesfield put pressure on and win their first corner on 3 minutes. Good defending by hunt from the corner and when he finds smith the ball through from smith just evaded butcher.

Notts win their 2nd corner on 8 minutes, Butcher to take with a cross to smith but his cross back in is cleared.

Smith wins a free-kick in a dangerous position on 11 minutes.

Crow shoots but it was blocked straight back to smith who slipped when playing a cross back in and it goes for a goal kick.

Weston goes on a run down the wing and his cross beats everyone and goes for a goal kick in a bright start by the magpies.

Crow found Jarvis but his control lets the defender clear the ball in a promising position.

Notts win another free-kick with Butcher to take but it is cleared before Edwards can get there.

Macclesfield pressure but Weston gets back and win the ball who finds Jarvis who is fouled and a yellow card is awarded for Cresswell.

Yet again Notts waste a dead ball situation.

Macclesfield were putting in some strong tackles and Jennings got a good talking to from the ref.

Notts win their 3rd corner from the free-kick.

Butcher takes short to smith and when Smith plays the ball over Crow got a header in but it was deflected away.

Macclesfield score after 22 minutes when Reid ran into the box and meet the ball from Ashton to give the home side the lead against the run of play.

Notts go straight up and win a corner but when it came over it was cleared for another corner.

Butcher crosses and when it fell to Weston he found Edwards who headed over from a good position.

Macclesfield put Notts under pressure but Hunt clears to Crow to smith to Gibb and when it is crosses over the Macclesfield defence clear the ball.

Ashton plays over a free-kick for Macclesfield but Notts clear.

Smith gives the ball to Mayo but the keeper blocks to Weston who crosses and wins the magpies another corner.

Butcher takes the corner and yet again it is cleared to easy and Macclesfield win a throw in.

After fine work from Jarvis the ball fell to Crow who shoots wide from 30 yards with the keeper rooted to the spot.

Dimech plays over a free-kick and Notts clear in a panic.

Weston goes down injured with the player holding his hamstring.

Johnson comes on for the injured Weston with Mayo going to left wing and Johnson moving to left back.

Macclesfield start the better of the two teams and a Tolley free kick is saved well from Hoult.

Another free kick from Jennings only finds smith who clears but Notts just cannot get into this match at the start of the second half.

Notts win a corner after 11 minutes but yet again Butchers cross is cleared and when the ball comes back over Edwards he has a good chance but the keeper saves for another corner.

Yet again the corner is cleared for a Notts throw.

Tolley comes forward crosses the ball over but Johnson clears to ease the pressure on the Notts defence.

Notts just cannot get into the game going forward.

Macclesfield win their second corner but Notts clear the danger.

Macclesfield are piling the pressure on but it takes some good defending from Hoult to claim the ball.

Mackenzie and Lee come on to try and change things with Gibb and Hunt going off.

Macclesfield win another corner when Johnson cleared the ball.

When the ball came over Symes shoots wide.

Hoult is called into action again when he saves a long shot from Evans.

Notts just are not getting into this game enough for a team battling for the football league life.

Notts win a corner after good work from Mayo.

Butcher takes the corner and yet again it is cleared to easy.

Notts got back on level terms when top scorer Richard Butcher got his 11th goal of the season with a fine volley to maybe keep Notts football league life still going.

Notts now have some belief and start to put the pressure on the home side.

Notts win another corner with Butcher to take long to Mayo who shoots wide.

Notts now are keeping the ball better and with Johnson now at the centre of the defence we need to hold on or even get more from this game.

Butcher finds Mayo and Notts win another corner with Butcher to Take.

Mackenzie to Tann and when the ball fell to Crow is control lets him down on the 6 yard box.

Macclesfield rush straight up field and win a corner with Jennings to take when he does Lee clears.

Butcher gives the ball away Onibuje is watched well from Johnson.

The game with a few minutes left goes a bit scrappy with both sides giving the ball away.

Tolley plays the ball to Jennings who finds Onibuje but Notts stop the attack with some good defending from Mayo.

The game enters the 3 minutes of injury time.

Symes gets forward and finds Jennings but Johnson clears, but when the ball came back over the ball was headed wide into the side netting.
