The12th man
It could be the time for the 12th man to be added to the Notts County team sheet.
You may well ask who the 12th man is. Well it is you the fans.
It is desperate times when you look at the league table.
So it’s time to lift the roof at Meadow Lane.
I remember games like Southampton in the Carling cup last season when the crowd played their part in a big way, the atmosphere was astonishing.
Well the time is needed again for the fans to play their part in keeping Notts County football club in the football league.
The atmosphere has not been great lately but this can be expected when looking at the league table or the type of football that is played on the pitch.
Meadow Lane needs the crowd to lift the atmosphere which in turn will hopefully lift the players.
Notts have two home games coming up against Barnet on Saturday and Lincoln the Tuesday after.
If Notts could get six points from those two matches it would make the league table a lot better to look at.
So even if you think the football is boring or you are fed up with fighting relegation or just don’t agree with the management or tactics, it is now time to put those thoughts on one side and get down the lane and support the team you all love so much.
Just remember that Notts County Football Club is the oldest football league club in the world.
We have a fantastic history and with your help in years to come this would be a part of Notts County’s history that people will not remember if we stop in the league.
This is not quite the same as the great escape season but we need the same spirit from the fans.
