Youpies.co.uk Looks ahead for the rest of the season.
Now the season is 12 games old so we have 32 games left.
Yes that’s a whooping 96 points left to play for.
Let’s have a look at what could change things over the coming months.
We will start with the missing fans.
Under the end of the Steve Thompson reign a lot of fans had enough of the tactics and the defeats, so the first thing Ian McParland needs is those missing fans to come back down the Lane.
If those fans come back making the attendances around the 5,500 to 6,000 Notts could turn Meadow Lane into a fortress.
Notts could play better knowing the fans are behind them 100% and not getting on their backs you never know what could happen.
A new manager can make a big difference sometimes so with fans favourite Ian McParland at the helm and Notts playing football and not hoof ball, even a defeat playing nice football can sometimes make you feel good and encourage you to keep getting behind the team.
Next we look at Tactics
Changing the tactics would also change a lot of Notts outcomes, under previous management a three man midfield was played probably too much so changing this to maybe playing a 4-4-2 to make the midfield stronger could give Notts that fight needed to win those midfield battles they have lost far too often this season.
If Notts could start blocking out the opposition a bit more and turn Meadow Lane into a fortress you never know where the season could end up.
When Ian was in charge at our local neighbours Nottingham Forest, they played nice football so Notts fans are hoping for more of the same.
Ideas to get fans back
Maybe Notts County Football Club could do a little bit more to encourage the fans back.
An idea was mentioned on an internet message board that maybe the club could do a “Charlie” season ticket; it could be worth looking at.
Notts need those fans to start turning up again and any idea could be a good one.
Looking at the squad
Youpies.co.uk believes that Notts do have the defence to hold out teams and when Edwards returns next year this will make them stronger.
The midfield is probably one of the best we have had in many a season. You only have to look where most of the goals have come from so far this season.
Now down to the men that can really make a difference the strikers. This season we have six strikers on the books.
Changing the tactics could change some of the strikers luck and make the goals start.
The only concern over the strikers is do we have a 20 goals man? On current form the answer is no but with a new man in charge and new tactics maybe one or two of the strikers could start to hit the back of the net and push Notts up the league.
What we at Youpies.co.uk think will happen
We believe that over the coming month that’s Notts will start to turn things around.
This may not happen overnight but don’t forget the season is over 46 games and not 1.
If Notts get the luck they need we believe that Notts will finish in the play-offs and then you never know what will happen, maybe even a trip down Wembley way could be possible. So lets give Charlie time and take a step back before criticizing
