Full Report

Notts made changes for this game with Spencer Weir-Daley and Krystian Pearce starting in a 4-2-4 formation.

The players losing out after the MK Dons game were MacKenzie and McCann who were both on the bench.

Notts kicked towards the family stand in the first half which is never a good omen.

Rotherham who made the early running, Although Notts had plenty of
possession, it was mainly half chances.

Notts best move of the half came when Weston's cross was met by Dudfield who forced the keeper into a good save.

Rotherham scored through Joseph when the ball fell to the Rotherham player the Notts defence did not close him down quick enough and he sent a low shot against the post and in past the Notts keeper.

Half time Notts County 0-1 Rotherham

The second half was a no starter as far as Notts were concerned.

Rotherham totally controlled the second half with only man of the match Kevin Pilkington keeping the score at 1-0 making at least four fantastic saves.

Notts did have a chance late on when Sam shot over but they did not deserve a point.

The weather played its part in the second half with one of the heaviest rain storms I can remember during a Notts match.

This match reminded me of the Havent Fa cup defeat.

Notts in the second half just could not do the simple things like pass ten yards to another player.

We backed off too much when Rotherham attacked us instead of putting in a tackle.

On a dull afternoon this was a dull match for Notts fans.
