Notts win away at Palace. A second string Notts County side beat a strong Palace side at Selhurst park to book a place in round 2 of the carling cup. Hughes scored for Palace after17 minutes but 5 minutes later Dudfield got his goal for the magpies. As the match looked like it was going into extra time Martin scored with 6 minutes to go and earn the magpies a place in the second round.
