Notts sign 4 players

Steve Thompson has made his first signings as Notts County manager. Steve has brought in four players in his first week as new Notts boss.

The first signing, which will be the one the fans will talk about, is Jason Lee, yes the man known for his “pineapple head” has signed a two year deal at Notts. The ex Forest Player at 35 may look to some as being to old but Lee as scored over 90 goals in his career and could be the target man Notts badly missed last season. Jason who nearly signed for the Magpies in January but the previous manager would not offer an 18-month contact as put pen to paper on a two-year contact.

Next up is defender Matt Somner, the 23 year old as played for Thompson before in his Cambridge days. Matt spent last season with conference side Aldershot and as put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

The next two are players that will be signing as of 1st July.

First up is 30-year-old Alan White, a central defender. Alan who last season played for Boston has agreed a 12-month contract at Notts.

The last of the four is Lawrie Dudfield, also on a 12-month contract. Lawrie age 26 last season also played for Boston and has scored 44 goals in his career so far.

Notts have also signed Bobby Wilson a product of the now gone youth academy. Bobby is a central defender who last year was the youth team player of the season. Bobby a 17 years old has signed a 2-year professional contract.
