Full Report

Notts started this game at a fast pace and in the first 4 minutes had forced 2 corners

Dudfield created a chance for Parkinson but the Notts players shot was poor.

Pilkington was to deny the stags when after fine work from Boulding the ball fell to Arnold, but Pilkington blocked the chance and Tann cleared away.

Notts next chance was to Parkinson. Mayo crossed the ball, which fell to Parkinson and the Magpies player shot made the net ripple, but it was the wrong side of the net and the scores stayed level.

Mansfield was next to have a chance when Mullins headed towards goal and Silk cleared off the line.

Notts should have made the keeper produce a save when from a corner Hunt headed a glorious chance over the bar.

Half Time: Mansfield Town 0-0 Notts County

The second half for the magpies was one to be forgotten with it being nearly one way traffic for 45 minutes

On 57 minutes McCann fouled Hamshaw in the area and the ref gave a penalty, which Boulding scored, from straight down the middle to give the stags a lead.

Only 4 minutes later Boulding was to double the lead when he got the ball from Brown, and went on to beat Pilkington in the Notts goal.

Notts from this moment were lucky not to give away more goals but Mansfield wasted chances that fell to Boulding and Brown.
