Notts never got going in this match and went behind after 40 minutes when REDDY scored for Grimsby.

Notts played better in the second half without creating many chances. The only chance fell to Baudet late on but former Notts goalkeeper Mildenhall sat on the ball on the goal line to give Grimsby the points.

Quite a disappointing result. One offside goal claimed 3 points for the opposition side. Notts however, failed to put up a decent fight throughout the match and seemed to admit defeat straight after their goal. No comeback, no fight back, no goal back, after a good run at home its all let down in the first game of February.
After a decent month and hopes of getting back up top Notts seem to have let themselves down against Grimsby who are now in with a shout of claiming the League. Grimsby are by no means a team to fear, a team with a lot of skill and talent in the side, just an average side and Notts failed to even get a point. Lets hope the month gets a bit better. Notts did have more chances throughout the match, more shots and it was Julien Baudet who nearly made Notts level at one point but ex Notts keeper Mildenhall denied him.
