Notts did not get into this game in the first half and was made to pay on the stroke of half time when Lafferty was given too much space after a cross from a corner and beat pilkington with a powerful shot

Half Time Notts Co 0-1 Darlington

The second half started with Darlington changing the goalkeeper with Phil Stamp the former Middlesborough midfield player going in goal. Notts scored after 55 minutes when Scoffham touched in what look like a goal bound effort from Liam Needham. Notts went in front when Martin got his second goal in 5 days on 82 minutes. On 87 minutes Needham was brought down after a fine move to give Notts a penalty and Notts captain Baudet scored. Darlington pulled a goal back on 88 minutes when Logan scored a free kick.

Match Report from Eek

Notts started the match off well, a few spells but nothing exceedlingly special. It was a let down when Darlington scored at the end of the first half to set Notts' heads down. After a good stern talking to Notts came out a lot more positive and a few subs set Notts alight.

The fact that Darlington didn't have a keeper in net second half didn't help. Steve Scoffham scored the first goal when someone kicked it at his foot... He celebrated with his famous back flip! Dan Martin then netted for Notts soon after. And when Baudet scored from the spot Notts seemed well on their way to victory. Though David Pipe decided to have a final say in the matter... he netted for Darlo! Notts will and go to 8th.
