The only goal of the game came in the second half when second half subsitute Duffy scored after 72 minutes. This result leaves the magpies in 18th postition with two games left in the season.

Notts lost for the 10th time this season at Meadow Lane.
Grimsby who are fighting for their league status went in front when Atkinson scored after 52 minutes. Boshell doubled the lead on 79 minutes after the goal had first been ruled out.
